

Tim Crofton
Teacher of Theatre Arts
In his 25-year career in professional theatre and education, Tim Crofton has worked as an actor, director, designer, producer, technician and pyrotechnician. He has also taught IB Theatre for 14 years at both Pearson College UWC in Canada and at UWC-USA in northern New Mexico.
Tim’s undergraduate degrees -- in Theatre and Education – are from The University of Victoria, Canada; and his graduate degree -- in Educational Leadership -- from New Mexico Highlands University, USA. His particular passions in Theatre include using drama as a teaching methodology, and working with young adults to create new work that gives voice to their thoughts and feelings in their world and communities.
Tim is English by birth and is also a Canadian and very nearly, an American citizen. He and his wife Melissa have been married for 23 years and have three children: Ruaidhri (Rory), 16, currently studying at UWC-Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina; Rex, 13, in grade seven; and Harriet, 11, in grade five.
