Enrollment in 2015

 

UWC Changshu China is anticipated to open in 2015. More students will then be able to experience a UWC education; in addition, those who were previously not eligible to apply through the UWC National Committee of China will have a chance to attend UWC Changshu China.

 

To attend the one-year pre-DP programme at UWC Changshu China:

In addition to accepting students to the two-year IB Diploma Programme, UWC Changshu China will also accept 120 (Chinese and foreign) students to its pre-DP programme.

 

After satisfactory performance in the one-year programme, students may either go on to UWC Changshu China for the subsequent two-year IB Diploma Programme, or may go abroad to one of the other 12 UWC schools and colleges.

To attend the two-year IB Diploma Programme at UWC Changshu China:

In addition to accepting students selected by the UWC National Committee of China (for an outline of the selection process, please refer to Enrollment in 2014), UWC Changshu China will also admit a pre-defined number of Chinese and foreign students directly. The criteria for admissions will be similar to UWC national committee selection criteria.

 

The direct admission students can be:

 

• Foreign citizens living in China

• Foreign citizens living in countries where there are no UWC national committees or where the UWC national committee cannot accept their applications 

• Chinese citizens living abroad who cannot participate in the China National Committee selection process

• Chinese or foreign citizens living in the local area
